Since 2013, the process has become more challenging for non-residents as the acceptance of ink fingerprint card submissions ceased.

Here's how it operates:
- Bring the ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) number issued by the Requesting Agency to your scheduled appointment.
- Our skilled Fingerprint Technicians will digitally capture your fingerprints.
- The fingerprints and necessary documentation are directly uploaded to the FDLE.
- Processing is typically finalized within three business days upon receiving the electronic submission.
ORI Number
The applicant will receive instructions from the agency, including a specific ORI Number (Originating Agency Identifier). Florida Live Scan background checks are typically concluded within three business days upon receipt of the electronic submission.
Requesting agency
The requesting agency is the entity that requires a Live Scan applicant to undergo the process. This can encompass employers, law enforcement agencies, schools, non-profit organizations, home-care agencies, etc. Requesting agencies are sometimes referred to as applicant agencies.
